THE VALLEY OF THE NURAGHI:
VISIT TO “SA MODO DE SU RE”, REBECCU AND SAINT ANDREA PRIU
The monumental complex of Santu Antine di Torralba is one of the most majestic and important
nuraghi in Sardinia.
“The King’s House” , so called, stands out in the historical region of Meilogu where there are
over 30 nuraghi, the area for this reason is called the Valley of the Nuraghi.
After the guided visit to the nuraghe S. Antine the tour continues to Rebeccu, a medieval village
today almost uninhabited due to various causes such as pestilence, famine, malaria and
landslides.
Here the tour will take place among the houses built in limestone among tales of meledictions
and prophecies.
Lunch stop at a local restaurant and rejuvenated last stop at the Necropolis of Sant Andrea Priu,
a pre-nuragic archaeological complex, a jump into Sardinian prehistory.
Return to Alghero in the evening.
